Hello and welcome to Universal Starfleet, formally known as Star Trek The New Adventures and thankyou for visiting.

Star Trek The New Adventures, originally began on a forum similar to this, it then merged across to facebook, initially to drive interest as there are many star trek and other sci-fi roleplay fans on there plus facebook had chat facility.

Over time the group started to be played on more and more, and expanding into several groups, leaving the forum alone and forgotten.

With so many things that happened, and countless other variations of trek stories floating around facebook we decided it was time to re-invent it and bring it back home to its roots.

Not only for that but as Im sure you are aware if you have ever roleplayed on facebook that they dont like roleplay accounts.

So this is different, here you can be who you wish to be and are welcome to roleplay.

Many great people have come and gone from our collective groups and made some interesting stories, which will be continued here, but with certain confusions, here we are going to remind people of the origins and ideas then continue from there.

The idea of the Universal Starfleet is that it is not just based on star trek but is multi sci-fi related, so that anyone can play along and dont have to be fully upto speed with a particular subject. Reading the stories will help you get a basic concept, and how we're primarily lead in a starfleet fashion but its a pretty much make it up as you go along and enjoy your self kinda of place. And if you are unsure you can always ask one of our admin team members or post in the help & advice section.

We also decided to bring it back to a forum base, because although live chat is fun, it often left some of the stories unposted and forgotten which sometimes contributed to the confusion of not knowing where we were upto so we're bringing it back here where everything will be visable and not forgotten.

Also if you are new and wish to join we strongly recommend you read the rules & guidelines first, to avoid the convenient excuse of "I didnt know"
But it will also give assurance that we aim to make this a safe and happy environment for all members.
