Wendigo is a completely alive ship what was found by Umbrella research teams when she was wounded and adrift in space. The scientists brought the creature back to the UC main facility where her wounds were taken care of and it recovered completely.

In the time that she had to stay at the UC, Wendigo grew found of Hash's son Turrel who visited her often and accepted him as linked captain.

She now close around the UCHQ and has become some kind of Mascot to the staff.

Her name she got from Hash, because of her diet what contains other ships. Alien or same kind, when hungry, Wendigo nibbles on them, so watch your hull!

Her character is curious like a child but cautious. She is afraid of klingons what makes one wonder if it were klingons who attacked her once.
